hello lovers,
i woke up this morning and decided to do free writing before (and after) a client session, as transit aquarius venus (annual timelord) and saturn applying conjunction happens in my 3rd house of goddess, the sagittarius moon is buoying on my rahu in 1st house of self, while gemini mars is chilling chaotic-ly on my moon in the opposite 7th house of other, capricorn mercury is stationing direct in my 2nd house of hell (because my disposable income has been rather hell-ish!) with sun-pluto fresh fusion there, my chart ruler ~ aries jupiter is moving towards my sun…
throughout these past few months, i have been ruminating a lot about why i love astrology + craft, why i show up to my practice and the knowledge, and why i love my client/collaborators, why i love my astrology community. especially because i was battling with my inner-demon-selves as client bookings have been hella slow… and i was at the brink of giving up on certain things…
so here’s a sharing to remind myself, or anyone out there, why i am here to stay… this is partly inspired by artist Claes Oldenburg’s “I Am For…” an art manifesto - written in 1961 - i have always loved this essay. i’ll probably make a post on Instagram too, feel free to comment on what your astrology is for… *wink*
I AM FOR ASTROLOGY that elevates the goodness of this world, that rebels against systems of oppression, that remediates fractured parts of ourselves and our connections with others, astrology that weaves our ecosystems and heals our biospheres, that illuminates our dreams - that shifts them our reality, that disrupts power dynamics of society, that reminds us of our agency, that awakens our magick, that enchants our sensations,
I am for queer astrology, I am for decolonial astrology, I am for Black astrology, Indigenous astrology, people of color astrology, non-English language astrology, non-patriarchal astrology, spiritual astrology, practical astrology, embodied astrology, revolutionary astrology,
Astrology that benefits queer folks, women, children and the elders, low-income people, people with disabilities and neurodiversity, people who are houseless and people who are stateless, astrology that helps a friend, that uplifts a stranger, that builds community,
I am for astrology that is anti-capitalist, that emphasizes meaningful and heartful exchanges over monetary hoardings, Astrology that connects us with humans and non-humans, that enlivens our humanity,
I am for astrology that excavates our shared history, and tells a different story, that tells the outcasted tales, the erased narratives, the (de)colonized ones,
I am for so-much-more astrology, I am for astrology that is yours as much as they are ours,
I am for astrology that fosters belonging, that integrates those marginalized - in the periphery of aesthetics,
I am for the astrology of “what is your astrology for?”
because I am never alone in our astrology praxis.
Yes!!!! 💗✨ This is beautiful!
Touched my heart this rainy day ❤️
