i’ve been loving deeper one of adrienne maree brown’s emergent strategy core principles: “…small is good, small is all. (the large is a reflection of the small.)”
perhaps, perhaps because life has been an emotional-physical-mental-psychospiritual roller-coaster-in-a-swamp through this eclipse season. if you have felt that recently or currently, i am sending you healing waves of love, support and abundance… perhaps through the imagination of small water waves because small is all and small is soothing - like the first few small gulps of water flowing past our thirsty-throaty souls, another small channels.
this morning i took the time to read Blaze’s weekly horoscope below, as my definition of a “small-is-all” morning prayer, attention, and reflection. Max wrote:
“Venus finally connects with Jupiter in Pisces, and it represents a moment of support that Venus encounters since Jupiter is the planet of freedom, liberation, known for restoring the good and condemning the bad, alleviating sorrow and worry. A planet that is in its home sign connecting with an exiled planet is said by Abu Sa’id Shadhan from Abu Ma’shar to be representative of someone who has [been] disempowered being helped out of their challenging condition.” ~ Blaze-Maximus
firstly, please subscribe and support Blaze’s work because we LOVE. horoscope writing is a laborious process for some/most astrologers (like me!), and to receive the GIFT for free? priceless.
secondly, i FELT that, something has been emerging within me from the intimate darkness of venus in scorpio - perhaps it is something small, perhaps it is something sacred, perhaps it is something that fucking SLAYS, and perhaps it is all we need before the large(r) love visions pour into our lives, with all-encompassing compassion and mercy.
with that, i am starting a “love postcard” series on my substack to honor the small and meaningful streams of thought, whenever i am inspired by the smallness of it all!
love you,
shahir

Ran, a Norse Goddess of The Ocean & The Drowned as I pulled her card (Hag of Water) from my Dark Goddess Tarot deck recently - she told me to stop fighting the tides of life, something more powerful is beneath the observed surface.
