In the name of Allah, the most loving, the most kind, the most compassionate, the most divine.
As we slowly settle into the threshold of 2023, we carry the grief, the joy, the sorrow, the ecstasy and the love that was 2022. As a mystic, I know 2023 will bring us new energy to learn, to un-learn, to re-learn., to embody, to dis-embody, and just to be.
Numerology-wise, we are entering a 7 collective year. (2+0+2+3 = 7)
Tarot-wise, we are entering The Chariot (VII) realm of the Major Arcana story.
Astrology-wise, the Lord of the Year is Saturn, based on the Medieval astrologers’ techniques via Dr Ali Olomi.1
I am not here to divine on the year 2023, as many diviners, astrologers, numerologists, and tarot readers offer free or paid write-ups or videos on these matters.
I am here to honour your hardships through the past 6 years of your life before fully embracing the 7 + The Chariot + Saturn thresholds. Saturn had taught us much of their domicile power in Capricorn & Aquarius (check your houses + placements) since mid-December of 2017 when it ingressed into Capricorn. Continued in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and in early March 2023, Saturn will depart from their diurnal domicile Aquarius to enter Pisces - Jupiter’s nocturnal domicile and Venus exaltation place.
Whatever “difficult” and whatever “serious” choices we have made through this not-quite 6 years threshold - there will be EASE coming for us. I don’t think anyone in this world can escape Saturnian harshness - because Saturn itself is the foundation of reality, the container of history. In fact, in my personal astrological practice, I believe that Saturn is important in the natal chart for manifestation power: to make something real, to make something tangible, to make something of the earth as much as the power of the Moon, Saturn’s natural opposition in the Thema Mundi chart, the Cancer-Capricorn axis.
The only difference? Time. The Moon rules the swiftness of time - she returns to the same degree in the zodiac in less than 29.5 days (approximately). Saturn returns to the same degree in the zodiac in 29.5 years (approx.) The mirroring of timing is apparent between them. If the Moon circles around the zodiac to make us gradually change and initiate our care capacities in the different spaces of our lives, Saturn circles around the zodiac to make those changes permanent. I don’t necessarily view Saturn as an un-caring planet, though it might feel that way sometimes! For me, Saturn is also the steward of care: our trust and our commitment to the things we care about in this world we are living in. Saturn spends a hell-long time in one zodiac sign because they care for our commitment in these areas of life.
For anyone out there who has felt their spirits dampened in the past 6 years…
for those who have felt betrayed and blocked by the universe…
for those who have felt how certain suffering doesn’t end…
for those who have felt enough-is-enough…
for those who have felt am-i-not-enough?
for those who have felt fuck-this-shit!
for those who have felt they could no longer be in a timeline of sorrow…
for those who have felt their lives are harder than anyone else…
for those who have felt their rock-bottom moments…
I PRAY FOR YOUR EASE IN 2023
I PRAY FOR YOUR RADICAL RELIEF IN 2023
I PRAY FOR YOUR SOLACE IN 2023.
And I hope EASE RIPPLES through you, I hope it ripples from your chest and breast, I hope it ripples to those in need, I hope it ripples through your souls in every layer and various realms…
فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
Quran 94:5 - Surah Ash-Sharh / Inshirah (Solace)
"verily with every hardship comes ease..."
with every hardship comes ease,
every hardship comes ease,
hardship comes ease,
comes ease,
ease,
ease,
ease.
ease ripples for our 2023.
The best thing about cultivating radical love with oneself and the universe is that once you have reached the depth, the bounds, the limits, you can never go back to the sameness, the same way again. Trust your ripples…
love you, all of you,
shahir
